The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the publishing industry, with a passion for discovering new talent and a keen eye for market trends. As a Publisher, you will oversee the acquisition, development, and publication of a diverse range of titles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquire and develop new titles across various genres, ensuring a balanced and commercially viable list.
Collaborate with authors, agents, and editors to guide manuscripts through the publication process.
Oversee the editorial, design, and production phases, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to maximize book sales and visibility.
Manage budgets and financial projections for each title, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
Represent British Book Publishing at industry events, conferences, and book fairs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Publishing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior editorial or publishing role.
Strong understanding of the book publishing companies UK process and market dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Passion for books and a deep appreciation for the written word.
