Our organization is currently seeking a qualified Credit Officer to join our team in Benin City.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments.
Review and verify loan documentation and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulations.
Monitor and manage loan disbursements and repayments.
Conduct regular credit reviews and assessments of existing customers.
Implement and maintain effective credit control measures.
Provide financial counseling and advice to customers regarding credit management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in credit management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/HND) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment, and lending practices.
Familiarity with lending regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in using financial analysis software and MS Office.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
